(OMG THANK YOU AUTO-SAVE, I super failed and closed the tab I was typing this all in!)
So I cant sleep and I was thinking about the Ruckus and how silly it would be to swap a B16 on to it. Since I have practically enough parts to put together another engine, minus a cylinder head. I was thinking it could either be down with the transmission but make it forward facing and just plug off the drivers side axle output. If I used an open diff I would definitely have to weld it up solid.
I would have to build a custom rear frame around the engine to try and keep the body as low as possible while still maintaining enough ground clearance for the oil pan. The seat would basically be on top of the valve cover. I would have to have a custom axle built as well. Making the swing arm and final drive I think would be the most expensive though, Im sure I could think up some shit though.
OR...
Go with a single speed design, just have to control the RPM via the throttle, which I would imagine wouldn't be very fun. But then I dont see how much different that would be with the current system. Just use a chain drive system or have a custom pulley made to utilize a belt in place of the flywheel. Make a cover for it all just to make it safe too. This could be mounted sort of like it was in the photo or again a custom rear frame could be made. I think I would like to have the engine in the middle just to help with the weight distribution.
