Honda Ruckus / Scooter Thread
Guys, I just found out I am gettin stationed in Japan for 2 years. Sasebo to be exact...
Do you happen to know the regulations out there for these? I know cars have to have engine swaps like every 30k and they are REALLY finiky about emisions and what not. I dont see myself getting a car while im there but a Ruck would be fun. Just trying to gather info...

I still plan on getting a ruck while I'm here. I am having a tough time finding some sort of craigslist or classified news paper. Or something of the sort. I may just have to buy new.
The Yen currently sucks dick so I might have to pay a little more for one. Sucks. Gotta get around though.
Any tips/tricks from those who have been here would be great. Ill keep you posted on my Ruck adventure.
Good Enough- Hey man good luck while you are over there, Definitely keep some pictures somewhere I always enjoy seeing pictures of Japan, and hearing about people's experiences of different countries and such.
About the ruckus, over in japan I think they may be called Zoomers, which if they are they will be fuel injected vs the carbureted that we got here in the states. Modifying the Zoomer engine is a little harder since you have to deal with some extra wiring and sensors. However with the insane amount of aftermarket support scooters have in Japan I doubt you will have any problems with his stuff.
Good luck, and enjoy your time overseas.
