Question for whoever it was that says that powercoating weakens the strength of wheels...
Any proof on that? (not trying to be a confrontational slut like 'socket', but i've seen a lot of track cars who have powercoated their rims).

This is what the guy that powdercoats wheels said to me. The wheel is heated so the paint sticks and by doing this, it makes the wheel more maleable. It doesn't weaken it to the point where it will fall apart when you hit a curb but I don't want to take the chance. Plus, why spend $200 when you can get close results for $30.
Mine has lasted me 2 winters and they are still holding.
