I also here the cruise in's in Somerset are known as far as up in Canada. I might have to attend sometime.

That must have been fun as anything, even if the tires couldn't keep from spinning.

It wasn't as fun as it was cracked up to be. Which is odd for me to say because for the longest time ALL I wanted was a Monster Motorsports Miata. We visited California and even went to the Monster Motorsports factory ( if you can call it a factory). I couldnt afford one back then.

Then I saw a car come up for sale, a real Monster Miata, in Norfolk VA. I bought it and we flew to Va and drove it back. At first I liked it, but it never really did anything for me, you know, "passion" wise. I sold it last year. I hate selling cars, I get attached to them like pets or something, but the Monster didnt bother me that much. I dunno, other than the cool noises it made, it was kind of boring really. I got chased down a few times by people who heard the exhaust and gave me thumbs up or wanted to ask me about it, but other than that, it was a relatively dull car. I still prefer turbo four banger any day.

I like the Electromotive units. I have TEC II on some cars too, but they stopped making the parts for the II, so you have to go to III. No giant differences really. The TEC II's are prone to "end failure". The plastic end pieces that the wires all connect to tend to fail and you have to replace them.

We had Haltech on an RX7 and that IMHO was the biggest POS ECU ( to tune)on the planet. I HATED it. Im sure there are people who love Haltech but I sure dont.
Hmmm... I would like to play around with a TEC unit. From the looks and what I hear of the Haltech, it is more of a hassle than what it is worth. I <3 AEM however.

for doing your own dirtywork!
