Find a new hobby then if you can't handle some simple tuning of your car. If it is your daily driver then either get another car or learn to tune it because I don't think "I can't come in today because I don't know how to tune my car and it isn't running right" is a viable excuse.
Maybe he has more important things going on in his life, and his car just isnt a priorty right now. I mean, just maybe?

Not everyone wants to go and learn everything about their car...I mean there are people out there making a living off of people who get them to do stuff. It doesnt mean you're not an enthusiast or a good 'hobbiest'. What about all the wealthy older men who drive nice sports cars or have lots of tuned toys...Does it mean they have to get over it and learn how to work on their cars themselves? No...Maybe its just not something they want to learn or get into, thus they have someone else do it for them. Either way though, doesnt matter if you're old and rich and can pay to do it, or young and bussy and just dont want to do it - who cares...Its your choice, dont get on the guys who choose to have someone else do it for them. Its insainely hippocritical to argue that point, cause someone else could pull up allot of aspects of your life in which you COULD do something 'so simple' but rather want someone else to do it for you...

So he has more important things to do then learning how to keep up his DAILY DRIVER that gets him from point A to point B or these other "more important" things? That's quite a weak point.

You want to pull an aspect of my life out? I am having a trust done up for myself by a lawyer. Is that something I can learn to do somewhat easily? Nope as it requires quite a great deal of schooling and the like.

He has simply come on here and make a post about how he needs a knight in shining armor to come save him and tune his car. He has all the necessary tools aside from the broken burner. There is an easy remedy for this problem but he won't do himself.

There is a big difference between someone buying something and not having the right tools and someone who essentialy has readily accessible equipment to do the things he is asking for but won't do them.

I never once have looked up to those kind of people regardless of how rich they are. If they are a true enthusiast they would have done shit themselves, period. Nothing is more sad than someone who has people do all their work for them, and then talk about what they did to their car, I see it everyday, and yes I see it all over these boards. Again, we are not talking about fucking rocket science here, we're talking about a basic tune wtf is so damn difficult about that that people feel the need to not invest the few hours learning about the subject. What aspect about our lives would you say goes against what I preach? I come from a family where we do our own work, and actually take pride in what we have/do. If we don't know how to do it, then we learn, we don't suck off the tits of others to get things done.

It just seems like such an arrogant statement. To tell me you've never sucked off the tits of others. Im sorry, but you're gonna have to get over it, you rely on so many people in this world that it becomes a joke to hear what you're saying. You're missing the whole point, if someone doesnt want to learn how to tune their car because who knows why, then get the hell over it. There will be nice people that will come along side and help them out. You come accross a such a hater, and its people like you that completely taint this atmosphere. People come to the boards seeking help and then someone like you, who aparently thinks they're entirely self-sufficient in life, blasts the hell out of them since they aparently arent as sufficient and knowledgable as you.

It may be an easy, novel concept, and not rocket science, but sheesh it doesnt mean they HAVE to learn it or else they're stupid. Next time you plan on asking someone else in a different field of work how to do something or for assistance, you remember your statement here. Did you ever go to school? I assume you did - if so, did your teachers ever turn you away and say: Here are your Lit, Math, Science, and History books, read through them, learn the shit on your own...dont suck off my tits, you dont need my help, its so easy!

NO, if you have problems in a subject, its easiest to go to a teacher (or tuner) and get quick help. It may behoove you to find out and learn on your own in the long run, but for the time being, why not grab the help from someone who can help you out quick?

Im not sure the extent of the tuning this guy needs, but thats besides the fact. I dont think you go down and chill at the local shops that do tuning, and hop on all the guys getting help down there because they arent doing the stuff on their own, even if it may be simple. Allot of guys preffer to drive the car rather than work on it...I dont neccessarily aggree with that, I think its fun to work/mod the car as well...But im not going to judge them because of that. I know plenty of doctors/lawyers around here with several really nice/tuned cars that have had them professionally set up to track them at VIR. I fully respect those guys, not for their TUNER SKILZZZ, but for the fact they worked hard for what they got...so now they can afford the many toys and tuning costs that allot of people hate them for - since they didnt tune it themselves... Get over yourself bro, you havent won any respect around here for your 'amazing self-sufficient abilities'. Its only made you look that much more arrogant. Im not saying your thoughts are wrong or out of place, but the way you've come accross and completely slammed these guys is way out of line, and thats whats shameful.

Again, I don't think you quite realize that he didnt ask HOW to do something, he said "DO IT FOR ME" there is quite a difference between inquiring how to do something, and asking someone else to completely do it for you.
