JDM is so played out. my car is usdm...still very clean. =)

 

i like alot of the JDM parts available for honda's, yota's and nissan's. Nismo & Mazdaspeed have some of the best quality parts of any SVO. I also think it lends itself to the exclusivity of it. Eveyone likes things that are rare. JDM is rare, so of course it has a following. There are some purists like Vtecnology who prefer it for the pure asthetics and functionality of it. Others like it for the "clean" look. USDM wouldhave clean aftermarket parts if that was what sells. But unfourtunatley APC is one of the highest grossing aftermarket parts distributors in the U.S. Why? Because they make things that people buy. Simple as that. If mazdaspeed started selling parts directly through dealerships and shops they'd make a SHITLOAD of bank. But due to prices of QUALITY items demand is much lower compared to "knockoff's". And there is doc's economic Strategizedmarketecture. Or what ever that agent said in the powerade comercial...

really i dont give a fuck..ill get whatever is cheaper and can get the job done..but i can see about JDM motors though..makes a little more HP and get LSD...i think the only USDM motor swap with LSD is the ITR right?

if im not mistaken, all integras from 94-96 are made in japan, but not all honda labeled cars are(my cars jdm dude!!!! WOW).........but who cares........just thought id add to the jdm origination factor.........and to add to that, you people that pay 2k dollars for old ass ugly jdm rims, although it is your right to do so and in your opinion awesome(and ill admit, nto all of them are ugly) i think your an idiot.......

 

I think some people are just doing it to follow. But some of us can appreciate the difference in "JDM" parts as far as front end conversions most look better.

Some parts are even functional such as the EF hood which has a bump in it for the B16 motor which was only offered in that car in japan. Also the taillights for my car 89 civic hatch, in japan they said Civic Vtec. In the US they just said civic. Why because my car never had a Vtec motor in it in the US but it does now so im gonna get them they also have amber turn signals which will match My SO JDM YO Bumper!!!

I have always enjoyed a mix of JDM and USDM parts that make a modded car look like it should have come that way!!

so if you buy some "jdm looking" wheels or a lip kit because you think they look good then you are now in the same category that all the rest of the "jdm" hatch kids. i agree that the whole jdm thing is really lame....but its only because of the way and the reason behind people doing it. the same kids doing it because of the mags and other people are the kids that you have called ricers....they've just caught on and moved to a different style to rape. imo the jdm style looks badass for the most part. if the car is supposed to represent the person that owns it.....let the jdm wannabe kids do whatever they want. stop rediculing kids for having rinkled advan stickers and being themselves (mindless tools).
