Didn't read the entire thread. NOt sure if it was mentioned.... if you're into a view, you can't beat the Lynnhaven Fishhouse. It'll run you 130 or so to eat (great seafood), but it is extremely nice and the view is constantly best of the beach.

So $50 to cook your own food in a chain restaurant. People don't go there for atmosphere...they go there b/c they think Melting Pot is so trendy.

Not reading the whole threa but...

The Melting Pot is nice. Its expensive but awsome food. Its a fondue place.

You choose between a few differant menus and its basically 3 courses. The cheese course, the main meal, and then dessert.

The menu we chose gave us a semi-spicy cheese in a fondue pot with 2 types of bread, some fruit, and some vegatables on the side. The main was some marinade (not sure what kind) in a fondue pot, 2 types of ravioli, filet minion, another type of steak, shrimp, and chicken on the side. The dessert was milk chocolate in a fondue pot with banana, strawberries, marshmellows, and cheesecake on the side.

Everything in the Main and Cheese course is served raw and you cook it using the fondue pots.

Yeah I think it's way overpriced. If it was more inexpensive I'm sure more people would go b/c it's something different and interactive.

Definetly overpriced...but hey, its the girlyfriends favorite place to eat (which sucks cuz of the $$) and the food is pretty good. Theres a reason we only go like once a year, lol.

although that place has a very nice presentation and ambience, i was really unimpressed with just about everything. i hope your buddy isnt the owner...cause hes an idiot. we asked him about 10 questions and he could barely answer any of them, all he kept saying was "im the owner" like a broken record....it was ridiculous, the 6 of us all started laughing cause of how ridiculous he sounded. He really couldnt tell us anything about what we asked, was good for the entertainment for the minute though. And for the rest of the night we just kept saying, IM THE OWNER hahahahaha.....funny times.
