This thread isn't the place for theory without hard numbers so i'll keep it short... I'll keep it even shorter; I've rewritten this thread over and over again but it keeps coming out like a thesis... tl;dr!
All i'll say is my 30 year old Mercedes diesel is still running strong and within a year or so it'll be switching over to 100%algae stock. I'm too big a fan of distributed solutions to wait around.

Well, I was being sarcastic, appears I overestimated the common sense of people. The LSx engines are fine, but who (now here's the keeper) in their right mind, would swap it out? It's like putting a b16 in a Camaro. But I assume you've seen that, too.
there is alot more to this car than just the engine. Suspension bits and more are 1000x better than almost anything else made in the US IMO. There is a reason American cars are known for not going around corners well
