Not arguing the fact that its frustrating to the car owners, as I have recieved more than one ticket for tint myself back in the day. One big reason that they sweat you for super dark tint is officer safety. If the officer can't see in the car, they get very nervous during a traffic stop, since they don't know they won't be staring down the barrel of a gun when the window comes down. Just my .02

my integra was tined 35% all the way around and i had been pulled over multiple times for different things. at night and during the day and i only got one ticket by some state trooper out in lexington. around the 757 i never had an issue, and never had one at VT either. i just paid the ticket, my friend who owned the integra before me for like 4 years, never got pulled for tint. i just happened to get lucky i suppose

Like the one guy said earlier, they can only check the rear windows if you roll it down. All you have to say is that your rear windows don't roll down..... Going by the state inspection book, only the drivers side window has to go down... So there's nothing for him to argue about. He can't reach inside and roll it down himself... So you can get the fronts tinted legally and the rears illegally and you won't get a ticket aslong as you don't roll them down for the cop.
Just to let u know, they have a new system where they can check the rear ones even if they dont roll down. My cousin got pulled over in a civic coupe and the cop was able to check the rear windows. It's like a 2 piece gun or watever u want to call it where they stick one piece on the inside of the glass and one on the outside and it reads how dark the tint is.

never heard that in my life. i have 3 friends that are cops. they arent ass holes about it. the only way they pull you over is if your doing something obviously wrong, speeding, loud ass exhaust etc... chesapeake cops are strict, but i guess where you guys are they are worse?

I wish that was the case here, i was going exact speed limit of 25 through a neighborhood going to work with the apexi ws2 on the car and still pulled me over just for the tint.

I think 50% looks good to as long as ur interior is a dark color. If u have a light colored interior it doesnt look tinted at all.

I think you guys should start posting up pics.

I have 35% all the way around and its ok in the daytime but at night its totally dark because it had the factory tinted glass and plus my interior is black too.

I backed down out of the 50% in the front and 35% in the back, or 35% in the front and 20% in the back.. because I thought 2 different tints would look dumb

don't get tint that is 50%.. waste of money
