doesn't matter if it's a1 or b1...you can add which ever electronics you want (or convert the plugs later) but the motor is the same

there is no reason to use a cable tranny, stick with the hydro...but yes you can put a cable tranny on either motor

honestly i have no clue between cable and hydro, if my civic is built for the hydro then i will but the hydro tranny on the b18a1. do i need a conversion kit if the engine is built for cable?

The engine isn't built for one or the other...the chassis you put the swap in is what determines what is easiest to use. Your car came with a hyrdo so use a hydro tranny...there are plenty for sale right now, a few are really nicely priced. No kit needed

92 and up civics use hydro
94 and up integras use hydro

anything before these use cable (including crx)

ok so stock b18 turbo, is it pushing it to run a little nitrous just at the track for an extra 55-75 hp

..... dude, listen to Jay.... He knows what he is talking about....all motor or turbo.

I read this whole thread, some comments here are really suprising. Honestly, if you just want to hit 13's, make it simple and slap a VTEC head then tune it.
