IT IS SO SLOW for a big block hemi. my integra took it in 1st and 2nd gear. everything on it feels and looks cheep like the way cool carbon fiber STICKER!!! take that same amount of money you just wasted and put it in a integra and you will be blowing doors off almost everything on the street.
Wrong, it weighs around 4100lbs and it's a small block, not a big block. You're a tech, huh? LOL

I will own a G8.. one day... when a used one can be had for around 15k. So like 5 years from now.
Unfortunately for us G8 GT owners who bought early, I don't think it will be that long. The state of the economy is really driving the price of used cars down. I have seen used '08s going for the mid to low $20's k and some that have come out of rental car fleets have gone below $20K.

Either way, it's an overweight slug that is cheaply made. Only reason it is even close to afloat is the middle aged guy who wanted one in high school. For the same 40k....you can get a car thats almost 1000 pounds lighter, handles better, and the same or more power.

there are much better cars out there i agree. we have had 3 just sitting on our lot for months. the car is a FLOP. its all looks and no go. Its a 2 door 300C, i feel sorry for anyone that owns one or any chrysler product. thats why i work on them cause they need the most work. and i was looking at the GVWR which is 5300lbs. You could also buy a 5.7 and make it a 6.1 for cheaper than it OEM in the car and you dont have to pay the gas guzzler tax.

No doubt, it would have been really nice if they could have made it around 36-3700lbs. But at least with the extra weight you get a usable backseat. 6 speed R/T is what I'd go for, not bad for around $30k, R/T's have already gone low 13's.

Sweet. 30k for a car that will keep up with vehicles that are 10 years old.

at 3600 lbs,It would have been turning 12.50's on the factory tire with a good driver, rather than the 13.00's that it pulls in its 4100 lb form.

Curb Weight, estimated, lb. (kg)...... 4140 (1878)

GVWR is car loaded with a full load (passengers), fuel, accessories, cargo, etc. Its a number to prevent overloading.
