No.... The reflashes net about 80-90 crank horsepower pushing the car to 380-390 total at the crank. LOK @ 450-500 rwhp w/ a chip.

My dad's neighbor has a son who is a GM VP (or something along those lines). He had a C6 Z06. One day, while parked, it dumped its fluids (trans and coolant, though it might have been trans, coolant, and oil, I forget). When test driving one my brother went to pop the hood. The hood release came off in his hands and the hood stayed shut. The General is a cheap s.o.b.

My uncle has had numerous z06's, both new and used and never had a single problem. He doesn't baby them either. Now has a zr-1 and drives it almost every day w/ no issues. All makes and models have some bad apples, but for the most part, the corvette is a very reliable, low maintenance, trouble-free car. Bang for the buck it can't be beat.

What is your opinion on the fastest 0-60/1/4 mile car on the market?

ps '10 Camaro SS = 0-60 in 4.6 sec

and 2010 STI 0-60 in 4.7 sec

tell em to build his own shit... that way he can be faster and still save 20k. i win lol.

I wonder if that's the issue - my dad's neighbor treats his cars like they're made from 24k gold. Perhaps his Z06 just didn't like a once-per-month driving schedule. I know 4-valve AMG W126 Benzes were known to leak fluids unless they were regularly driven hard. FWIW, he replaced that Z06 with a ZR1.

Hell, I would not even buy a car based on the OP's concept. Unless I am retired
