after reading this thread i'm kinda pissed. do you know what we techs at dealerships have to deal with on a daily basis? i know its the same bullshit, if not at hall, casey, first team, etc. "everyone wants something for nothing" . An example a customer came in for a "timing belt replacement" he had his car towed in and this is what he asked for "i want my timing belt replaced, cause my buddy told me it snapped". ok so i pulled the timing cover off saw that the tensioner bolt broke. causing the belt to jump and get chewed. I called him told what happened and off he goes pissed off, "you guys are a rip off" blah, blah... then he said replace just "the needed parts " tensioner+belt ok so i did. well what happens most of the time when your timing belt breaks, the piston meets the valves. so i replaced what he asked for and the car wont start, bent valves. So i call him up and told him, and guess what were a "rip off" blah,blah...i get an ass raping. not really fair but part of the job, so now what he wants is a new motor installed for free. just one example of what goes on, if i could i would have everyone on this board spend a week at a dealership to see what we have to deal with. oh yeah most dealerships pay by job, example: they only pay us 1 hour of labor to replace a timing belt whether or not if it takes more than a hour usually it takes about two, but all we get paid is for an hour. how would you feel?

that is exactly why i said ' from what ive heard around' because i didnt know if it was truth or not! regardless, he fucked his car up and tried to blame it on someone else, and wow, all his posts magically disappeared.. when that someone else (daddy) saw his posts..!
