I am a "honda boy" but if you can find a manual trans IS300 definetly go with the IS, the gauge cluster is one of the cool features of them and they are not nearly as expensive as the s2k, an IS can be had for around 20k (used but relatively new) s2k's I KNOW are more then 20 right now... IMO IS300 hands down!

It really is apples and oranges. But overall, the S is the car I'd pick. Drive both of them and see which one you'd rather have. The IS will have a little more low-end grunt and it has WAY more power potential, but the S will have similar power delivery to the GS-R and has the potential for more than enough power

Also, the S2000 community in this area is VERY tight. Maybe that's why it seems like we're everywhere. We do a lot of stuff together.

BUT, if you care about people on internet boards bashing your car even though they've never met you and probably never driven one, don't get the S.

Considering I wrote that at 1:21 a.m. and it took a total of 2 minutes to write, I don't really give a fuck what you think of my spelling. I am glad you can see my misspellings, maybe I will give you a job paying minimum wage to go behind me at work and proofread my reports to the CIO and CEO of my company, right now I have my graphic designer doing it.

What the hell are you talking about? Overpriced???? They cost 30k. I guess if you're used to buying used Integras or at best a new Focus or something that would be overpriced but in the real world that ain't shit. For 30K you get a car that performs along the lines of an M series Z3 or M coupe...beats the hell out of a regular Boxter and runs neck and neck with a Boxter S. Every single one of those cars cost's signifigantly more than the S2000. It beats the drop top 350Z pretty handily and is funner to drive than anything I've ever been behind the wheel of. I guess you really just have to drive one to appreciate it...I recomend you do so before you compare it to that overweight, under powered, overpriced, reworked Lincoln LS that Ford passes off as a T-bird.

And on that note, me you and BLUE ICE need to go at it one night. I heard your car is really quick and I've wanted to see how I'd do against a modded S2K. I've refused to race Brandon unless you are there.

The Boxster S isn't as quick as everyone makes it out to be in the straight line. I play with this same one at least twice a week to work in the morning and I haven't lost yet. But throw some suspension on it and it will own people on the track.

I'd be more than happy to run you but I'm not really modded. I have intake and exhaust, thats it. I have a Greddy E-manage but it's set totally stock right now. I don't know why people say my car is fast. For a stock S2000 it runs pretty damn strong but it's still pretty much stock. I've wanted to run an M coupe for a while though so I'm game. I'm pretty sure you'll beat me a little but I'd like to see by how much.

thanks for the input guys! yea i'm a girl and i really don't want to get rid of my gsr, but my parents want me to. they really dont like my car...i dont' know why. so my dad said he'd buy me an IS300 if i sold my car. of course i'm like "OK i'll sell my car!" but then again...i've always LOVED the S2000. when my dad and i were car shopping two years ago, we looked at an S2000, but the monthly payments would have been too expensive for me. we also went and test drove an IS300 but i couldn't afford that either (i think my dad purposefully liked teasing me with them nice cars that i couldn't afford). so anyways we found an integra gsr, and that was in my price range and i liked it...so i bought it!

my dad actually said i could choose to get an IS300 or BMW 3-series...but i said the only bmw i would want is the M3, and my dad said no b/c that it too expensive..LOL. and he wants to get me a BRAND NEW car. so yea that changes things. sorry if i'm rambling but yea i am just trying to get people's opinions b/c i really don't know what i should get at this point. i have a couple months to think about it...and i'm gonna test drive both cars to see which i like...but i know i'm gonna like both!

boosted2003- you've seen me at odu? cool...i always see BLAH driving around there...i didn't kno people noticed me b/c there are a million integs at odu. but i'm the only purple one i think...anyways...THANKS!
