Time slips will only make the situation worse... and trying to get out of it by asking if he's permitted to operate a newer radar gun is not going to help either; I witnessed a kid try that in court on Friday and he failed miserably. Kinda seemed to piss the judge off. He asked if he was an expert in radar, the kid responded with a firm "no" and the judge pretty much told him to shut up.

 

Hah! I have a friend that works Signal Intelligence and deals mostly with radar, I would have loved to see the judge ask him that same question.

 

My boss just got a wreckless, first ticket in 11 years. Judge didn't give two little rats asses about anything he had to say. Had his speedometer calibrated and all that. He was found guilty and had to spend a day in jail with 29 days suspended. The only advice I have is to wear your whites on your court date (that and don't bullshit the judge, they've heard it all before). Other than that, a good lawyer may be able to get the charges lowered but it's not guaranteed. Judge was ammons or simmons or something like that. good luck....

yup, exactly. When i had my little incedent the cop asked me what happened and i told him i was cut off and swerved and all even though the witness said no one was around and i came through the turn side ways. the cop believed me and dropped it from a wreckless charge to an improper driving charge. went from a 6 pt. violation to a 3. I told the judge the truth somewhat and got off wiht 1 yr. probation, 40 hrs of community service and only 1 mo. to do it in, and had to write a BOOK REPORT. that was the biggest bullshit i have heard as punishment from a judge. i had to send it in too and she read it and replied back. lol.

 

well just thought i would give an update not really sure if yall care or not but ..i got a lawyer from a good freind of the family that is a cop so basiicly he is one of the best around and all sadly he said with a charge like what i have and knowing the judges in va beach he said i will most likly go to jail..well tidewater detention home which is basicly jail for a minor.. and most likly if that happens it willa be for 3 months due to the fact that that is how long my summer is .. these are just some of the things i was told ...late

 

yeah i was talking to my driving instructor today and he said most likely you will get jail time, no license for a while, a big fine and driving improvement classes... all that cuz of street racing "God Damn Street Racers" hahaha

i heard they are gonna start impounding vehicles to, not sure if it is true, good luck, and protect your asshole.

 

Here's something that you may not know. If you are charged and found guilty of Racing, they have the option of siezing your vehicle. Not impounding but taking it forever! It's in the code. They usually don't, but they do have the option of going after it, after you're found guilty.
