So basically the car would still be illegal. You'd just be lying about it's legality.
i know it'd still be illegal. but all i've ever seen a cop check for is the VIN in the from window. If I had a TL or Accord VIN number then i would just say i've done a lot of custom work to it. That's especially believable considering the scene as it is now. then after that, if he's a real dick, he'd probably give me equipment violations.

does anyone know anyone that has recieved VIN convictions?

and btw, the accord type R has almost a TL front end and body, except for black housing TL lights, and the tailights are unique to the type r

if that is so why not just import the front clip, engine and anything else you need. Other than engine and suspension and maybe exhaust all the other stuff is cosmetic. it should be nice and legal if you did it that way....

i've thought about it, but it's not the real thing. there's nothing like running around w/ a real car from another country.

there's also nothing better than swapping a bad ass car's baddassness into a dodge colt, and whooping ass across the board. just a thought. i mean imagine a viper drivetrain and powerplant in an Intrepid.

The allure of the skyline isn't limited to it's engine

yes, and on a similar note, just being in the presence of a skyline, would be a slightly different feeling than on a US car that's just been modified.
