road racing isn't all about horsepower jeff. although a 400hp car will probably kill a 100hp car anyday, courses like VIR don't have a lot of straightaways. It has 17-20 corners or something if i remember correctly, and they all are very technical. but of course, only demonstration of what each driver can do will tell the tale. are you planning to go to VIR at all this year? if i ever get a halfway decent job, i'll try to get out there.

Of coarse I'm going, lol, thats my goal.......As for HP in road racing its true but as you also said 400Hp to 100hp is sufficient im just deffending the fact that im not in the same class as Steve would be in.......As for stait aways at VIR it was just an example, I was comparing class to class......If he's good he's good I just dont believe that he knows more than Nissan motorsports, and thats where I learn from, hence my knowledge of Nissan......We'll see what happens on the course......I wont be there until after the baby is born though Shell wont be able to make the trip out there till shes unloaded the baby......(So she wont let me go either) but i got a few more months setup to do so.......Dave if i can get this 200sx from a guy in Hapton ima put the SR20DET in it if you wanna drive it you can, that is if i can get it from him and get the suspension done before the summers over......I know you can drive so i trust you and I told you a long time ago id set up a car for you to drive on a road coarse......just an offer thought it might be fun.......

As for the SR20 Its not the road racer the VG30ET is.... torq plus high RPM's plus handling and a new ballance of weight equals me dogging the VE driver or not. As for the SR20VE against my SR20DET maybe but never against my archaic out of date VG monster, theres not even a comparison.......Its like putting a bad driver in a GT500 car and a good driver in a GT300 car and telling the GT300 guy to pass the GT500 guy only on straitaways........But we'll put times down this summer and see what happens........(To be fair)
I would like to see this letter from Nissan Motorsports. How about you scan it in. Shinobi, please learn how to use punctuation. And his opinion is dirt because you don’t like him? Real mature.

yeah, where is this letter, or how can we get in contact w/ Nissan Motorsports. As i said before, it was probably a typo or something. Hell, look at all those typos in your post, lol, j/k yeah, i remember a while back when we were talking about that road racing thing. i'd love to race anything, but i dunno if i want a 500+hp beast under my feet, i'd probably kill myself, lol.

They are commonly called HPDE (High Performance Driving Events). I will try and let you know when the next one is comming. The mazda one might have some spots open. I think its in March.

The events I attend are not racing like you describe. It is a HPDE. They do not put your car in a class based on HP or any other crietria. Go to the Mazda and the NASA site and look at the information they have.

I am not my car. I have made no claims to the power/ability of my car to you or anyone else. We do OK in the autocrosses. I get beat by some in time and more in PAX. It does OK at the dragstrip. My car is a daily driver that I use for work. I put 6 year olds in the back seat and drive around with them. That is all part of my job. It is not designed to be a pure race car nor have I ever said it was. I take it to the track to have fun. Insulting my car does not hurt my feelings. It just shows how little your truely know about me as a person. With all that said do you currently own a car that can compete with mine on a roadcourse? I have put the time and money into building the car I have. It has not been cheap and I have enjoyed most of it. It is a complete package, Brakes, Engine, Suspension, Oil Cooler, Gauges, etc. . I am proud of my car but fully realize that all it takes is more money or a more aggressive approach to build a faster car. Remember it is a daily driver that I use for work with kids that have disabilities.

Edit: I read it and you went too far by bringigng up the kids I never said anything about them, Dont let disabilitated kids get in this.....As for all the statements I Have thrown out accept the tech. I take back I somehow forgot the pure passion in building a car, Good luck man we'll see what happens at the coarse......As long as Nissans are still running I'm happy....... As I said good luck, the opinions we dont share on my writting skills are Squashed the opinion of knowledge squashed too.....Sorry for the balding comment.....

It's all good with me. I could have done better also. Can't take this stuff to seriously. I was not mentioning the kids to gain sympaty just to show that this car is not a no holds barred kind of car. Thanks.
