Auto Meter gauges are not bad. I don't know how they got a "POS" reputation from the import crowd, but I've always run them and they work great. Not talking about an EGT gauge either, I'm talking basic gauges like tachs, oil pressure, water temp. Funny how the slower import crowd thinks they're crap gauges yet they're used in all types of motorsports without incident.
I dunno, most of those "import" gauges look ghey and unless you're talking about an air/fuel, EGT or boost situation you're just overpaying for the same thing with prettier colors

And you know they are working fine because....... they move?

First of all since you seem to know everything, turbo import cars need accurate gauges. We need widebands, egt's and boost gauges....stuff that your dinosaur doesnt need. A/F's on a turbocar are extremely important. Autometers egt and narrowband a/f are a piece of shit. Thats why we bad mouth them. And there boost gauges are always reading faulty if you cross reference them with a accurate gauge for the most part.
And now since you labeled us as "stupid import owners" that drive slow cars you can feel content with your POS autometer gauges and remember "Get err done mullet boy"

[QUOTE=Chris4130]Which ones do you have on your car?
And you know they are working fine because....... they move?

pretty much, there oil and water gauges are fine.
But when you are tuning a turbo car and you have to rely on accuracy only a fool would trust there motor to autometers line of a/f and egt gauges.
But what do we know we just ride around in strobed out civics with neons and trance beats bumping

Since you're into the namecalling thing and catching feelings, are you illiterate? And besides, I've had EFI turbo cars before, and even I would never tell you to tune your car off an AutoMeter air/fuel gauge

Sport Comp. Tested the water temp gauge with a laser temp gun and it's dead nuts on. Good enough for me. The tach? Seems to match up perfectly with my dyno runs.
