I always place wooden boards across the jack as I jack up the motor, to distribute the weight. If you're pulling the oil pan I'd say be absolutely sure that dent is pulled, or at least isnt blocking the pickup. As for removing the crank pulley you may need to tap it with a rubber mallet to get it broke loose just a hair, to the point you can pull it off. As for the 1" for the bolts, haha, dunno what to tell ya, really you just gotta use a shallow socket, thats how I did it, its your only option.

1/4" air ratchet is your friend for the cover bolts. and a 1/2" impact gets the crank center bolt (ya gotta take it off to get the crank gears off to get the oil pump off.)

as for the dent, you wont have issues with the oil pickup at the drain, the pickup is a few inches away. shouldnt be a big deal, but try to get it hammered out some when ya got the pan off.

Now how the hell do you get an air ratchet down between the frame and the cover joey?

I've gotten kinda far so far, but my dumbass mistake was I went 1 step too far, got the timing belt off, before loosening the crank pulley...dumbass me. Well I have all the belts and pulleys off, the oil pan off, downpipe off, now im tryin to get the timing belt BACK on so I can loosen that crank pulley/nut/thingy.

Also how bad is it that I'm just leaving my motor dangling w/o anything holding it up other than the rest of the motor mounts (minus the side and lower mounts I took off)

Also what are all the ways to loosen that crank center bolt w/ and w/o the belt on?

While removing the balance shaft belt, I kinda turned the crank like 1/5th of a turn, and when I got it off, I turned it back to where it was, but the exhaust/intake cams are now a bit off by like a cinimeter. How can I be sure this will NOT fuck my motor up :-\ Excuse the bad spelling. I'm tired..

the engine can hang.....no worries there. the crank bolt you will need an impact gun for ( you can do it other ways...but a impact is the main way to do it.)

as for you turning the crank...as long as ya didnt have to use force to move it you should be fine. the cam gears will line up when you install the new belt. a few words of advice: use zipties to hold the belt to the gears while you are installing the belt...it wont slip off. just cut them off before you rotate the engine to verify the marks.

you dont have to have the gaskets "overnight ordered" fel pro has what is called a "timing cover seal set" i got the part number at work, that is crank seal, oil pump gasket, oil pump seal, and oil filter adaptor oring. most every parts store i deal with has at least one in stock.

did you do a balance eliminator kit?

yes. i thought they were oem only parts? I already have the crank seal though. How much would it cost to have it same day or overnight shipped? (Preferably same day) without the crank seal?

and we're only doing the front bearing since he advised that my oil pressure would get hella higher if we did the back bearing too, since it would block the oil path.
