a friend of mine used to have a probe gt w/ the stock motor...he went to the junkyard one day and just took a mazda valve cover...it bolts right up...maybe your friend or whoever had the car before him REALLY needed a valvle cover and took one off a probe...i dunno...but anyways...i also have a part that bolts to my mass air flow sensor w/ a mitsubishi emblem on it...i have the best of...all worlds

 

the older ford probes used mazda engines except the v6 it was a ford engine. the newer ford probes used a ford 4 cylinder and the v6 was a mazda. If you didnt notice its faster than the older probe and ford mustang v6. Mazda can make a engine I'll say that much.

No, that's such an ignorant statement. Mazda USA is who you're tlaking aboutand Ford is just the majority share-holder in their stock. So, therefore, Ford basically makes all the decisions at the meetings since they own more than half of the shares. That's how Ford "owns" Mazda. It doesn't have any physical equity of Mazda and Mazda Japan is still it's own company. Which Mazda Japan is the one who designs the cars, they're just built and marketed here.

Well, I am a Toyota fan so I have to jump in on this one.
1st:
Name a ford car and I'll find a Toy that will beat you.
2nd:
Toyota and Nissian have always been the power houses in Japan since the creation of the 67 2000GT(Toyota).
3rd:
Toyota has sold more Vehicals around the world than almost anyone.
They are also the largest supplier of DOHC engines out of any other company.

I don't think there is a liveable place on this earth were there isn't a Toyota driving down the street.

4th:
The only thing that Ford made within the last 10-15 years that's worth a damn is the SHO and that was made by Yamaha.
They took a stock SHO against the Mustang and it wiped that stang's ass all over the road.
So you know what Ford did to make there covited Stang still live on.
Took away the Yamaha V6 power untill it was slow anuff to lose to there Pathitic V8.

No the DOHC V-6 put in the Probe (32-valve) was a Mazda motor no mistake.....It has a mazda stamp on the block as well as the intake manifold (Underside) The MX-6 is to mazda what the Probe is to the ford, The 2.3 litre Ranger I-4 is a mazda motor as well, shared with the B-2300 mazda pickup as although the 3.0 and 4.0 in the B-3000 and the B-4000 pickups are Ford engines with more badge proof on the block and intake manifold.........The The probe 2.2 was a ford engine and the turbo 2.2 was also of ford desighn........The Navaho was the comparative to the explorer till it dropped off the market.....And the new full sized mazda pickup is gonna have a 4.6 litre V-8 or a 4.1 litre V-6 (think its a 4.1 litre) which are both of ford desighn.....As far as old pplz cars ima stick up for ford/lincoln/mercury, due to the new Lincoln LS, and the Mercury marauder..........The LS i know for a fact is hot and its one of my dreamcars even if it is a ford........
