You can put a turbo on a H22 with stock internals if you are planning to run like 5 - 7 psi... but if you are talking about 9+ psi you need to build it. You can say its just a rumor, but Ive done tons and tons of research on boosting a H22 since Im planning to do it sometime in the near future. About 9 times out of 10 if you are wanting to run daily driven serious boost its got to be built.... but then again I've been researching the H22A4s.

i've read in at least 5 different places about the h22s having problems with boost but i guess every motor is a little different and they did not say what year the motor was so your theory might be right. crate didnt you post the results of like 20 h22s with JRSCs and turbos and how many had problems because of ring lands and throwing rods? if you can dig that up again, repost it or pm it to me.
