I dont necessarily like the SRT-4 cuz it is as you say a neon, LOL.
The offtopic discussion enlightened me on the details of the capabilities of the EVO which impress, but I still like the STI.
Im always open to suggestions/opinions, hence this thread.
Nice try on psychoanalyzing me, but, WAY TO FAIL!

You were looking into buying a STi, and as its already stated, you have considered and rejected the Evolution.
Then you go the www.offtopic.com and read that if you bought the STi, you would be getting smoked by srt4's left and right. You also read that the SRT4 is bawwwwd and a beast. The fact that, those remarks dissuaded your decision on the STi says alot about who you are.
By these actions alone, and this thread...(asking dragva members advice as to which car you should buy); i can already tell that you are the type of person that would much rather prefer the Srt4...because it is geared and markted towards the ricer that you are.
So get the SRT4 because it is teh f4star.
p.s And don't forget to build up a callous around your ego when the taunts of "its just a neon" come flying your way.

The SRT4 is just a Neon. Seriously though, who cares. The STi is just an Imprezza, and the Evolution is just a Lancer. They all come from shitty, humble economy cars. They're all still great vehicles as far as performance goes.
sti save yourself the future trouble
i have a srt4, you dont want the warrany trouble, and awd is teh shit soo....

Either way you look at this the STI is in last. For the price EVO is better! Bang for the buch SRT-4 is better. Probably the only thing the STI has going for it is a better AWD system and interior. My personal opinion the SRT-4 and the EVO have lackluster interiors. The SRT-4 is to be expected for its price but the EVO, come-on! I have personally driven all of the cars and I was disappointed by the EVO's interior. Money is no object, GET THE EVO! If your as old as you sound and as enexperienced as you come across get the SRT-4!

Nobody will ever call it ugly, it'll get you more pussy than you know what to do with, and nobody will ever ask "why didn't you get a STI\EVO\SRT-4?" But if you don't want a vette because it's a V8 domestic I've got a deal for you, go buy one, give it to me, and I'll give you my SRT-4 even swap

just because you can afford to buy a z06 doesn't mean you can afford to keep a z06.
everybody thinks when you buy a sports sports car, you only have to pay for the price of the car. Thats a retarded assumption.
