I don't think that the FWD guys are just tryhing to bitch. It just that their cars were built to run slicks. It like asking the domwstic guys to show up with all seasons...it won't be much fun.

I completely understand the original idea here but it's just hard to accomplish with the caliber of cars that will be attending.

no offense but the caliber of car that were trying to reach is a street car..
if it is indeed a TRUE street car like the whole point of this race, it wouldnt HAVE to run slicks

i voiced my opinion to what the rules should be a 2 pages back but ill state again
street tires
pump gas
working accesories
full interior

a true street car

mabye the domestic guys dont understand the concept very well.

fwd imports dont really do digs without slicks.

if it was on the street, these would be roll races.
or else everyone would go back home or already ride out with slicks, if doing digs was the agreed upon race.

ive read the whole thread, its entertaining to say the least.

but what im telling you is how shit really goes down.

no import is going to want to line up with a boosted domestic without some slicks.

no on the street, not at the track.
its suicide.

if this was on the street, they would be roll races.

this is kinda fact.

The reason I vote to allow the Honda guys slicks is the simple fact that they spin to ungodly mph's without them... I've been in a couple quicker hondas and the fast ones can spin like crazy to 80-90mph on street tires. Some of the cars that would be coming to this would spin at speeds higher than that on a street tire. I don't want some dude with his front tires still not hooked up at 100+ mph in the lane next to me.

I see it as self preservation...

Disagreed. We have all agreed to run on radials! The fastest domestic cars in this thread are always on radials...
