Honda Ruckus / Scooter Thread
Holy shit man. Really not trying to sound like a dick here, but can we get some punctuation and possibly even a proof read before you post? I will be the first person to help someone out, but if I don't know what you are saying I can't help you.
To obtain 50-55 on a ruck you need to be sub 190lbs (rider weight is a huge factor for a ruckus), and have a shit ton of patience. You also need to know that the 50-55 mph people are reaching is either downhill, on a perfect day, wind on their back, drafting, etc..... People are very vague on these details most of the time when posting a top speed just because they want a little bit of bragging rights. The thing to think about with the ruckus is in its stock state it is already just about tapped out for power (yes a CDI, larger carb, exhaust, etc... will get you some more power, but bare with me here) so all you are doing by tuning the variator weights, shaving the drive face, changing transmission gears, etc. Is determining when that power is actually being used. So to get to 50-55 you will have to sacrifice some acceleration. Getting speed out of a ruckus is really a balancing act.
One key thing that I think you are missing is that we are talking about a 49cc scooter here, not a 650cc-1000cc bike. You are expecting entirely too much out of the little ruckus.
Reading on TR will help you learn a lot, but like most of us it will take you actually spending the money on a GET to realize that you should have just bought a GY6 in the first place.
Good luck, let us know what else any of us can help you with too.

Thinking about selling my MoJo Stretch. Would any one be interested?
Ill let it go cheap. When it arrived to me here in Japan it was missing some washers and one of the stretch bars. They fell out on the way here (FML). I am sure you could just contact MoJo and get anything you would need. I just honestly don't have the capability to install this kind of stretch out here. I have BARE minimum tools and very little free time lately. I should have just picked up a PWJDM stretch or something....
Here is the kit. Like I said I am missing some things. I do not have the wheel, tire or cables that are pictured. I do have a different style/size rear wheel and the hub. As well as the bracketry (minus what I mentioned).

If anyone is REALLY interested I can take a picture of EXACTLY what you would be getting.
