i did the samething to my Scorpion pipe. but I did not paint it. And the CF will not make a difference.

I sold that can though... I seen the bike forsale on craigslist with my pipe on it though.. made me smile.. LOL.

The baffle will be connected to the pipe side of the exhaust... and the material will be wrapped around it. The can will stay with the tip...
You decide how short you want to make it... and cut the can to the desired length. Then you have to cut the exact same amount off the baffle and material. Then you put the can back together and drill new holes and re-rivet the can to the base.
This is the gist of it... I dont have time now... but I will look up a write-up when i get back... unless somebody else already does it.
My ASVs should be here today, didnt get shortys though.

2005 cbr 600rr been laid down/clean title. 1800$ with 3000 miles last year, Put 5000 more on it over the summer in the condition of those pics.
Scotch tape holding on what was left of the fairings, Clutch cover was nearly scratched all the through and well as a ton of other shit, no exhaust, etc.
Not to shabby for the first summer of riding she did the job, but now shes cleaning up nicely.
I still need you to put those tires on in the next few weekends if your free.
I've debated on it, maybe next winter.
