I didn't measure the thickness but it's fairly thick. The 07-08 R1 swingers have no flex issues so there is no need for actual race bracing.

I used to have an old style blue dot in my tail light, BUT, i kept getting pulled for it (even though you could BARELY see it).

It's welded front and back (smoothed out the welds in the front).

I hear ya man, I'm just making sure the info is out there, no offense taken.

Oh I know, and the 3r's, and pc5's have that feature built in. Just saying that most bikes, don't really need it, unless they have a built motor/spray/boost/etc. You could spend hours and hours and hours tuning a bike to max performance, but in the end, tomorrow the weather will change a bit, and you're tuning won't be exactly what it was the day before. There's too many variables. In the end, find what works overall, and be happy. Kinda why I'm not a fan of dyno tuning in the middle of winter. The air is colder/denser, so you tend to tune richer to compensate for the extra oxygen in the air/fuel mix, and when you take that same bike out in the 100 degree heat and high humidity of the summer, it's gonna run even richer. Especially on those bikes (with FI sportbikes means most of them) that don't run a closed loop FI system.

Most of the bike's I've come across that have done well with increased timing were old enough that FI wasn't even anything to think about, so PC's were mute. I ran an advancer in my old 7/12, and yes, it made quite a difference, but most of the newer bikes have so many sensors telling the CPU what's going on, they don't generally need a timing change (unless, like I said, they have a built motor, and especially for spray and boost where they need to have the timing retarded to suit)

I'm not sure if it's only specific to the R1 but the PC3+IM advertises +10 degrees of advance but real world only shows +3 max. Funny how that all works out, +3 is not worth the cost of an IM. Hopefully the PCV offers more range on the timing.

Thankfully I didn't do any of it, I had a it done by a check that restores old Cobras.
I wish I was skilled enough to weld as well as she does.
