basically, the first shooting was at 730, and we werent told about it until 930. classes werent canceled until after 1015. after all the bullshit went down. lame. i just dont even know what to think.

i talked to my friend who goes there..he was listening to the police scanners the whole time. his take on the story is: Guy catches girlfriend cheating on him..guy shoots girlfriend, and RA (the ra saw him shoot the girl) then guy goes across campus to kill the guy that she cheated on him with. except now the reports are saying there were 2 gunmen. so no one really knows what has truely happened at this time
so far 33 reported dead, and 18 injured. its scary knowing that Tech was one of my top choices for college this fall...

MSNBC jus said the story the same way i said it like 7 hours ago...
guy shot his GF, then the RA who saw it.. then 2 hours later lined up a class of kids, shot them all (most of the killings came from that room) then he moved around in that building shooting at random before ending himself.
still no leads as to why he even killed the girl muchless the whole building of people, my guess is going to bo got into a fight, with her things got outta shot her and the RA was killed to cover his ass, but when he noticed what he had done came up with a plan to take out a lot of people and make a name for himself before he killed himself.. so he used the 2 hours to plan an attack and get to the 2nd building where he just went crazy on people for no reason.

Its still a great school. I love it here regardless of what happened today. This shit could have happened anywhere. I mean...last year Amish kids got shot up. Would you have ever thought that would happen....EVER?

VT will most likely be one of the most secure campuses in America after this all settles down. Security should be the last of your worries if you plan to attend there in the future.
