I had that idea for a valve cover. My friends think alike and got the same great idea.
Then I acquired a set of messed up wheels and I was going to do that to them.
Damn him!

 

It saddens me in dudeman's choice of front lip for that red EK.

 

I'd still do it. Fuck it. I wanted to be different when I painted my wheels the way I did, but I don't care anymore. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Honestly, I like the idea, but when the wheels are together the center caps look to have quite a bit more paint on them than the spokes. I know it's because they don't have holes in them like the spokes do, but I think they should try to get more on the spokes.

 

This is true, but it's important to acknowledge the fact that there's a lot more surface area around the centercap. My guess is that it gives the illusion that there's more paint in that area.
