I agree, they are just a 'VIP style' wheel, and your fitment only helps with the VIP-ness. I don't think it looks bad, but maybe because I'm a fan of more sportier wheels that I liked the Advans better. I like the look of a sportier tire with more meat over a stretched VIP style wheel anyday.
Looks really good. My Dad has several in various stages of completion (a V8 Rover, one with a Ford 302, a Sebring MGB GT V8 replica, a restored 4-cyl and a few others); I thought the valve covers looked familiar.
Search through Terry@Fortune's created threads. He posted a thread in Eye Candy of his and Chris' S15s, and Chris had the Advans on it. Fitment, style of wheel, color, everything was perfect on it.
Edit: Pics in this thread: https://www.vadriven.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261211 Sadly he sold them.
Pics don't even do it justice, in person it looked so perfect. IMO, his looked better than Terry's.

I personally like the advans however they are a bit bland for my tastes. If it was on a purpose built track car kinda like his white 240 u posted then I say yes all the way. But for where Chris wants to take this car (Its not even close to being finished) the Advans had to go.
They were cool on his track car but they don't fit in the grand scheme of things
