I would have to agree. I quit beating the shit out of my 88 CRX si to keep it around a bit longer. I had the power then and will have even more real soon. For me, it's not about times any more. like matt said...it takes money the right people and the time to go the course. Families and baby seems to pull you off track.

good luck Matt...n/a power!

Anyway, I don't give two fucks abotu the street class of competition. All that is is a class on the track. Whoopy-doo. The conversation pertained to cars that are still cars, as in could pick up your girl and her two friends and not be embarrassed that they are sitting on a sheetmetal floor. Interiors...comfort...livability...and still sub-13 second passes onan n/a 4-banger are hard to come by.

That's the only thing I was getting at. Congrats to all the kids with an aluminum shell with a 180 whp engine. Ok, so they are kinda quick. But if a shopping cart runs into the car, chances are you will die. Sounds like real quality stuff.

Calm down mr big bad drag va. A 12 sec every day car is not hard to build is what im saying all hondas are tin cans thats why they go fast with little power. Most of the people do not know how to drag race street or track thats why you dont see the fast times not because they dont have the power or they have full interior. I think alot of people are scared of the track because it dosent lie there is none of the he cheated street racing bull shit.I tried to type a little better for you hope that makes you happy.

Much better post, thank you very much.

I still disagree, though. I feel that it is just not feasible that MANY n/a 4-bangers are getting to the 12's with full interior. Your argument is that most of them can, but the majority of them can't drive? Bologna. They can't because there's just not enough torque to get a loaded car down the track in time. Period.

I disagree with you MerF. With slicks, you can get a crx, coupe, or hatch down the 1/4 mile in 12 seconds with less than 215whp. Look at Scott (ZEROpsi) above.

I didn't say never, I said very un-common. The people arguing are telling me that any run-o-the-mill 4 banger cna do it.

Most people opt for pulling their interior or lightening the car for class specifications. It really isn't hard to get a Honda under 13 seconds and retain a totally stock body and interior. Why most opt to remove pieces, I don't know.
