I know you're saying the insurance would kill you, but you might be able to find a 98 f-body for 10k if you look hard enough.

Lincoln LS's are nice rides, and if you're concerned about economy you could get the 6cyl model which you can get a 5spd in.

I was also thinking about an Acura TL/CL-S. I always liked those cars and I think they both look great (2DR and 4DR).
