I would like to submit a challenge to shawn lozy....

366 engine torque sounds right for about 22-27psi on race gas, but a little high for a regular pump gas (14-20psi) dyno pull. If you are showing ACTUAL wheel torque then the torque number will be a little high because of that thing called a transmission and that other pair of things called the differentials (final drive). Those "things" are also known as torque multipliers.

also, who needs race gas?

think about it
it was also nice having Shawn drop by tonight, as I haven't seen his face in forever

noshoes, i run alky injection, and about 23-24 pounds. maybe more, not really sure. my pressure sensor maxes at 22 pounds, and i hit the limit pretty hard and stayed onthe limit for awhile.
so if someone asks how much boost i am running, i don't really have an answer other than more than 22 pounds.

23-24 lbs sounds pretty realistic then. Engine torque and BMEP (brake mean effective pressure) are more related to cylinder pressure than horsepower, and cylinder pressure is directly related to VE (volumetric efficiency) and when dealing with forced induction, BOOST!
Typically, on a 4 banger, above 350 torque means you're running higher than 20 psi, and banzai's torque numbers are pretty high for a Mustang "engine torque" readings. Remember the Mustang usually reads lower than a dynojet, unless the operator starts fudging weather correction and gear ratios in the software.
That being said, I'd say you're hitting at least 25 psi on a teeny turbo to get peak torque values like that. Alchohol makes you INVISIBLE!

I just tend to give people more credit than they are due, and forget that there are still cheap ass people still try to run AFCs, and play around with alchy injection systems on stock turbos. (Car and insurance payments still kick people's asses, and people still try to live beyond their means)
See everyone on Saturday.
In addition, Banzai:
It sounds like you have a fun car, and I'd like a ride on Saturday if possible. I'll try to return the favor in one of those little MR2 thingies I play with.

I am with shawn(smooshie butt) Even the guys sig says, or atleast did at the begining of the thread, "2002 Suburu WRX 700+WHP" That sounds like a statement rather than a hope. Which is probably why this thread is here, because the confusion between dreams and reality.

Not trying to bust balls or piss anyone off,
But from what I understand you have only had one encounter with Shawn ( I could be wrong) Were you at the Perry Subaru meet? If so, then why didn't you confront him then? We both would have been more than happy to talk to you and get things straight. If you have doubts or questions that would have been your prime time. Anyways, maybe we can get this all straightened out another day.

Move thread to SPO I want to play.
"the new set up is far stronger and bigger than the last and the reason why the number "700 plus" is being claimed is due to a guy in Iceland that is running a similar setup to mine ( I have a few more tricks than he does) and he has 730 AWHP and runs high 9 sec passes. I have the video of it. "
Hell I am surprised he did not just throw it out there that he was also running 9's. Pretty bold claim that you are going lay down the same numbers because you used the same parts. Many variables go into making HP, tuning being one, dyno tricks being another, and honesty about the other persons build would be another. People claim big numbers all the time, shops inflate numbers all the time, and some people like to keep secrets all the time.
