b-16/18/20 or h22
what kinda # does your setup laydown and is it a vtec motor i know that what works for you might not work for me but like i said i am tring to get feedback from the one that have the motor setup so thank you for the info and not roasting the other motors because you don't know i have notice what people don't have they tend to not like it and i was read on the web that you can use stock mounts from an integra and civic to put a b series in an eg is this true and if so which mounts from what models will work i know that the civic si's had b16 so will those mounts work on a complete swap with a b18/20
It's a stock B20 on 14lbs. I can't remember what size turbo he has and I know that makes a difference, but the motor has been boosted for over 3 years now and has seen the track quite a few times. Mike and his car has been used as an example many times. Just like others have said it's all in the tune. If you change something then change your tune. It's ridiculous how many people slap turbo-kits on their car and just drive it like they don't have to do anything else.
11.9's btw
11.9's btw
Im not exactly certain what my car puts down b/c it has not been on a dyno since it was tuned and that was 3.5-4 years ago. Back then it put down 276whp and 224wtq if i remember correctly. However i did go back and have the tune leaned out some but did not put it on the dyno for it. If i had to guess i would say that it is around the 280-300whp range now, and probably 230 wtq range.
Like i said, the motor is bone stock and the head has never been removed. So it has its original P8r head which is non-vtec.
As for other motors, i can not stand B16s. I dont feel as though the are worth the amount of money they cost. As for the H22, i would not put on in a hatch because once you put one in you cant go back to a d or b series motor (from what i was told).
The turbo i am using is a turbonetics t3/t04b 60-1, and as Joe said it ran a best 11.9 @ 118-120mph and that was last season. I daily drive the car and i do not drive it easy. I also delivered pizzas in the car for close to a year.

thanks so you are lving proof you can boost a b20 and it won't just blow up on you like most pople think but what about the motor mounts i have this one book that says you can use mounts from a civic with a b16 or 94 and up integra mounts is that true it also says that you can use the shift linkage from a 94 and up teg is that true plus what tranny are you using and my last ??? my title says my car weighs 2047 is that true i googled it and everything i found said between 2100 and 2300 it's a hatch no sunroof or power features(it had power steering) and the guy said it had a d16z6 so oes that make it a vx model
go with the h22 just lighten the cranks or have them shaved and the person who said k series where heavy are not they are actually the lightest motors out there but a h22 built will kill any motor
What does living in Japan have anything to do with it? There are people more than capable of building motor properly in all types of countries.
Secondly, what is this website going to prove? I'm not a bench racer. If you wanna show me numbers on paper that's fine. I'm not saying that a properly built H22 is a slouch, but give credit where credit's due. When guys are making ~mid 300's NA "holla at me".
