Not to get off of the Smirnoff topic, but I have found that it depends more on the police officer if I get a ticket or not. All of the warnings I have ever had were from older laid back police officers and all of my tickets have been from younger cocky cops. For example, about a month ago I was driving at night and was pulled for a headlight being burned out. The older officer gave me a warning and told me to be on my way home. Less then 5 miles later, on my way home, another young officer pulled me over and gave me a ticket even tho I told him just minutes before another cop gave me a warning and told me to head home which is what I was doing. He was a dick and wrote me a ticket anyway.
