Poll! What to buy, have $35,000 to spend
hes a real cool guy. say hi to him next time you see him. the car is insanley fast. i wish he would mod the engine more. i want to see 300to the wheels, hes got 270 right now and he seems to be very content with it. the turning and stopping power of the car is just unreal though.
RX-7 = breaks too much
Boxster = old man mid-life crisis
S2000 = just not my flavor
350Z = too many already on the road
350Z Conv = ugly, too heavy
Evo VIII = not enough $$$ left for tuning
WRX STI = same as above
Supra just does it for me

Supras are very powerful and the engine is bulletproof, but it's hefty size makes it difficult to carry through corners at speed. The RX-7 thanks to the 50/50 weight ratio is one of the best handling cars out there, but due to its sensitivity to detonation and lack of people who know how to work on it its powerplant can be a nightmare to own. The 300zxTT is a cross roads between these two cars, high power, excellent engine (when cooled properly), moderate wieght, and good handling 54/46 weight ratio, I see it as a poor mans ferrari, a jack of all trades not a master of just one. Aftermarket is very good for the car and is IMO better looking that the 350z when you upgrade to the jdm xenon head lamps and put on a tastefull body kit like the jun kit.

1993 Supra
skipad-.98
Curb weight-3450.....my car weighed in at 3415 at the track
Weight dist-52/48
The Z beats the Supra in NOTHING. Please take your 300ZX blinders off.
Road and Track Supra article
According to z32.org
1993 300zx
skidpad .87
Curb weight-3475
and you have given the weight dist.
As far as dimensions the cars are within an inch of each other when it comes to width and height. The Supra is longer however. If I am not mistaken the turbo Z is a 2 seater whereas the Supra is a 2+2. Regardless back to my point. Please if you can't back anything with factual information don't make up things.
I voted for the STi. You get a quick car in the corners and straight line, and a warranty to boot.
As for the 300Z, I dont see the hype. Its a butt fucking ugly car IMO, and mostly ALL of them are slow as bricks. I ran one last summer with upgraded turbos, full exhaust, and a fresh motor and he pulled a half car to 120mph. GHEY!
Just FWIW, the MKIV Supra would be up there with the STi for my choice.
