I think I am leaning towards an 06 STI right now. With the way I drive, I'm scared I will get like 6 mpg in a cobra, haha. The only thing im scared of with the STI is the shitty stereo. I was also wondering how these in "roll races." I don't street race much at all (maybe 2 races in ~2years), but I was just wondering if they are only fast off the line because of AWD, and then shitty once your are already moving. I will test drive one for myself before I purchase, but I just want to know what to expect. Hows the stock turbo? Good low end but falls on its ass in higher RPM, or does it keep pulling 'till redline?

Also wondering how much a okay stereo setup might cost? I've never bough stereo components before. Not looking for anything amazing, just somthing with okay bass and clear sound.

 

The STI will have plenty fo power, especially coming from an s2000. The midrange torque is going to be astronomically more, and it'll feel much faster than your s2000 without a really noticeable power drop off.

How reliable are EVO's? I am really starting to like the 06 MR, but I don't want a car that has problems left and right. On the EVOM forums I searched and found a few threads on it, and they say they are reliable, but I am still not convinced. I really hope some people with first hand experience can chime in and let me know. As far as I know, the only bad thing with the car is a clutch that will wear out quickly with hard driving. I will not be tracking or launching my car, but I do drive pretty hard and am planning to mod it (nothing crazy, just exh, tune, etc... simple bolt-ons)

I really like the gains IX's are seeing with simple bolt on's and tune compared to STI's
