It's crazy that this went from a SRT-4 vs STi to an SRT-4 vs NEON to an SRT-4 vs Supra to a Supra vs Sentra( ). Holy crap, one giant pissing contest. The SRT-4 hands down has caused the most arguments on forums this year (people who like it vs "it's still a neon"). The only thing that comes close is the EVO vs everybody else argument.

Dodge is making some good strides towards producing a quality sport compact. It's not the greatest thing in the world, but for 20k it doesn't have to be. The 04's are going to be even better performance wise, so now it seems to me that there is really only one problem now, IT STILL LOOKS LIKE A NEON. If the 04's or 05's sport a better body style, I think the arguments will subside. People still look at the SRT-4 and still see and think NEON.

That arguement has no merit with an SRT-4. If you are refering to the headgasket, thats flat out stupid, it was a first gen problem. Dodge has enough faith to put out a 70/7 warranty, so Im not too concerned. However its not a high series Benz or Beamer, so I take it for what it is. I personally like my interior. Simple(with the exception of the rear door windows), yet effective. Ive personally had two people with STI's tell me that they like the SRT-4's seats better, after sitting in my car. Hey to each...his own.

Bang for the Buck it's a good buy. I am sure it shocks a few people off the light or on the interstate. Dodge improved it for 04 with the LSD, shame on them releasing it without it in 03. I am guessing the 4 doors are cheaper on insurance than if it had only 2. Come to think about, I can't think of another car I would have for 20K.

Yeah no shit. And the "its just a neon" argument is so fucking old. I hate neons and I really like the styling of the SRT-4. I mean holy christ people there are no new cars on the market in the price range of 20k that even come close to the SRT-4. The fucking thing has to be measured against cars 10k+ more expensive. I mean if your going to bash the thing at least be semi-intelligent about it....

if the sti spend more money in the car just like the neon it would win, the sti had very little mods, but winning is winning
