So you wanna lift your truck...
only problem with doing sas on an s10 is finding the perfect axles...full size truck axles are waaaaaaay too wide and then you have fender clearance issues(as in they stick out too far). probably have to check the s10 forums like someone else said...or go with older toyota solid axles or wagoneer or IH axles.
yeah ive definitely seen toyo axles. i swear at paragon or tellico one time i saw an s10 with some International Harvester Scout or Travelall axles but im not 100% sure. as long as you rip the ifs out of those trucks youre golden.
True words. Anything over a 35" tire will be too much for an IFS.
I'm not going for crazy lift... I just want a moderate stance... Like I said, its just gonna be my daily driver/beater/work truck... I didn't know if I could modify any of the existing parts to gain lift (IE flip a leaf spring mount)... I looked up lift kits for this truck and it was CHEAPER to completely airbag my 94 2wd s10 than it was to lift the 98 4wd I'll be gettin just a couple inches...
S10forums is a joke... I dealt w/ them when I had my 94 s10...
But as I was sayin, I was just looking for "custom" ways to achieve just a few inches of lift... I know I'll have to do a spring flip, keys and possibly control arms... Just looking for cheaper ways to get things done... I have access to a welder and power tools to get just about anything I need done...
