No lie......the ZO6 is badass ride.

I'm getting a bonus check in Feb. I might pick one up for my fiancee to drive and me to play with (What color vette do ya'll like the best. I'm partial to red, black, and yellow. Or, I might be getting my truck. We'll see.

 

red or yellow vette definitely.... bonus check, and u are picking up a z06? damn, that makes me wonder what your regular cheque is like...

 

Well we have a red Evo and a black montero sport for her. I think I might go with yellow. When and if I get my truck I'm looking at a chromed out black dodge 4 dour hemi with the works, but who knows. A yellow zo6 would be hot though. I hear that a lot of folks recommend the vette in automatic, something about the auto tranny on that thing being able to hold its own. Plus, my fiancee wouldn't do too well with the manual in lots of traffic and hills and what not. Is the z06 available with auto tranny.

My regular gig is a public school teacher which pays suprisingly well, so don't let teachers lie to you about being poor. I'minvolved with a few local companies, and one of them is doing quite well, and I'm signed on as a percentage of profit. Plus my fiancee is in marketing. Life could be better, but it surely isn't bad. We just need to get out of debt. Both of the current cars still need to get paid off. My bonus should cover that, credit card debt, savings, and maybe the vette, but that could be pushing it.

 

I want to get bonuses that pay off EVO's and still have money for a Z06. I have an investment banker friend with an MBA from Boston College working on wall street. He makes disgusting amounts of money and still doesn't get bonuses that big. He did get one last year for $22k though. Maybe I should tell him to become a teacher at the local high school. He doesn't have a car though. The company has a limo that takes him to work. Life is rough.

 

You never said "not to many bone stock folks" will beat an EVO because even had you you would have still be wrong!. Don't try to backtrack you said not many folks would beat an EVO thats complete horseshit. The EVO will not beat the average enthusiast TWR car (non ricecr) on the highway. Sure if you include ricers, minivans, and SUVs but an EVO will have its hands fun with MANY cars that are even BONE STOCK namely a C5 Vette, LS1s, LT1, 03 Cobras, Mach 1 Cobras. You need to accept reality those cars are QUITE plentiful in this area. I see a ton of LT1s and LS1 on a daily basis. I'm sure you will keep swimming in your little pond so you can keep the illusion of being fast.

You're right though....the EVO is a really slow and I'm just a little fish in the big pond. Everyone can beat me!. sniff sniff
