You didn't own shit...I straight up owned myself today. Had fun still, as always. Shit, seeing the Porsche and go-kart looking thing run made up for all of my misgivings...Bobby did EXCELLENT, night and day from last event.

Yeah I did pretty good. I had a great time. Thanks for the compliments. The Z is running better than ever. Now I just need some suspension and some hoosiers for our "TEAM".
I can't begin to describe how good it felt to be out there today. I really enjoyed running the old car. That is the first time I have run that car in at least 7 or 8 years... In fact I think it is about the 3rd time I have even driven it anywhere (including driving it on the street) in the last 5 or so years. I just found so many things on it that need attention. I am going to do some of them and hopefully bring it out some more.
I had an interesting feeling driving today that I am not sure I have ever experienced before. I am not sure... but I might have been somewhat intimidated by the car today. I have driven some damned fast cars over the years, and I have probably 200 first place trophies in that car, but I drove it very timidly... I am not sure why.... I have been trying to figure it out, but the only thing I can think of is that that I was somewhat intimidated by the car. The Shelby is a very difficult car to drive well. I have never had anyone else drive it and beat me just because I used to be so in tune with every detail of the car. I have spent all these years driving car that were easier to drive and getting back into everything that car needed must have been a challenge. I have to drive it a few more times to find out for sure....
