He probably got charged with wreckless and racing.
If he cop was pacing you, you probably don't have much of a case, i had a similar instance a year ago and the cop cars have there speedometers calibrated every 6 months or so to get them within a MPH or two. I lost in court with a lawyer because the cop siad he "paced me" doing 95 (I was doing 65) in a 45mph zone in my GF's SOHC 94 Saturn on a curvy strech of road that was less than a 1/4 mile from the stop sign where I started, but I never heard of a stock 94 saturn that trapped more than 85mph. I never saw the cop til he turned on his lights and this cop was so scetchy he asked me if I knew anyone that delt shit and I would get out of the ticket if I gave him names. All this was brought up in court and I still lost case the judges have little-to no tolerance for speeding/racing.

Okay, this is dumb. Now that this shit is posted on here, everyone and there mom knows about what happened. Shawn dude, I just got off the phone with you. And i continued reading about this shit. This is shawn's fucking business. Of course he doesn't drive like that all the time. but everyone makes stupid mistakes. And i guess this is his stupid mistake. I was in the car earlier that night, and he's car was running really shitty. i was surprised to hear about what happened. But shawn like i told you on the phone, enjoy your license while you have it, and good luck at court!

 

Yea, i was on 66 E going to Manassas to see if any of the usuals were out there. 66 is a speed trap to begin with and with the meet I figured things would be double. I saw a cop (FFX) sitting in the middle running radar. I blew threw 5 over but he sat still. I figured they'd be out in force. there were more cops on 50 than you could shack a stick at.

You know what?? After spending X amount of years here. Watching traffic grow. It sucks. Having a modified car sucks. Your under a scope no matter what you do unless your bone stock. The urge to get out and break free no matter what it is....is human nature. People make mistakes. His case could go either way. Fairfax county plays by their own rulez. I actually moved out to cut back on the tickets..the pointless tickets.

You know my parents tell stories of stuff they did just like us. But they didn't end up in jail...cars taken or anything. But times where different the only difference is we can't unwind like them. We can't be stupid and get a break. So many lives. It's like being trapped in a room and you want out. We don't get the same luxuries our parents did. So when and where can we do it? for all you anti-whatevers...It's going to get worse. Mods make up almost an 1/8 of the new physical market. New business's grow every day. As soon as we become as organized as Cali and some other places. FFX will have to deal with it sooner or later. They will be forced to find a solution.

Or driving the way you wish being semi free for a time not injuring anyone? Even better being drunk in an suv dragging a person for miles. Letting him dye in your drive way. Sitting at a light watching a car barreling toward your newly painted car and totalling it....killing your passenager...crushing most of the bones in your chest and you were sitting still but you blamed because your modded.....Or even worse minding your own business...getting pulled over for no reason recieving a ticket for muffler and your so quiet a mustange SVT cobra's sound alike a factory compared to you??? I ask you....What's really bullshit? You talk about imports and domestics like they evil. But I don't see you bitching for those kids who have to grow up early because their locker mate might be packing heat. What's more worse than this. Shawn doing 130 or a father buying his only daughter a Viper for her 16th birthday and shewrapped it around a tree after loosing control?

Fact: nothing is life is 100% safe...get over it.
Fact: More people dye from drunk drivers or commen accidents than racing.
Fact: Suv's ahve killed more people last year than modded cars in two years.

My brother got busted the sameway on 66. Group of cars speeding and the cop pulled him over without radar and said he was streetracing. It might have been the same cop. He said he would do everything to make sure he would go to jail. My brother went to court and the cop lied and said he was running cars off the road even though there wasnt anyone on the road. O yea the cop also blow his car up trying to get him, that might have pissed him off just a little. But all and all the judge pretty much throw the book at him. Gave him 170 days but they suspended 166 days so he got 4days. Good Luck.

 

sorry to hear that man, hope everything works out for you. i had my one scare of doing 135 in a 45, running, passing in no passsing zones, runnign stop lights and stop signs. i am the luckiest bastard in the world, cause the cop that caught me wasn't the one that was originally going after me. i got off with a verbal warning

 

GOOD LUCK MAN, ME AND DAVE BOTH GOT PULLED OVER ONE NIGHT "RACING" AND DOING 90 IN A 55 I GOT 3 TICKETS AND DAVE GOT 2 TICKETS, ONE OF THEM WAS RACING AND THE OTHER WAS RECKLESS 90 IN A 55 AND ME AND DAVE BOTH GOT OFF WITH $500 FINE, DROPPED THE RACING TICKET AND (THE EXHAUST TICKET FOR ME) AND NO SUSPENDED LICENSE. WE WERE ALSO IN ARLINGTON THOUGH I HEARD FFX IS AT A ZERO TOLERANCE FOR THAT KIND OF STUFF. WELL ONCE AGAIN GOOD LUCK MAN.

 

Good thing you were in Arlington or it would of been worse, cause Racing is a straight up 6months suspension + $500 fine + any other tickets you get. Having that in mind I think I rather be pulled over by an Arlington Cop than a FFX Cop.
