Pulleys and belts?
the front one is the only one you need to clock out of position...the entire reason for doing it is to block the oil port (you have no shaft there anymore, so the oil will just pour out if you dont do it)
you can go to advance and they will have the seal kit, its not that expensive. just dont use the seal

i am sure some DSM jew will buy the seal you dont use on ebay.....

its ok i had to order it asap, so Im payin 24$ getting raped in the ass by the dealer to have it by tomorrow. the local adance auto said it was a dealer only item.
Ya know, I had no idea that there were TWO balance shafts in a dsm motor. I feel like an idiot. I took off the upper left shaft seal on the front cover and um yea my friend says I wasnt supposed to do that cause we're putting something else there. *sigh* I thought I was supposed to put the cap there. hmph..
no, the cap goes in the large hole (the one on the front of the engine, closest to the exhaust manifold) that is the actual balance shaft (with a seperate belt) the oil pump shaft is also a balance shaft.....but the replacement oil pump shaft is about 18" shorter then the one in the car. basically, it is there to drive the oil pump gear, and that is it. there is one bearing on the oil pump shaft, that is about 10" in on the engine, and you do not need to worry about changing that bearing (the stock shaft is lubed through a feed hole in the balance shaft/oil pump shaft)
the balance shaft, by itself, is the one that is going bye bye. that is the one you need to plug the cover with the plug, and install the new bearing in, clocked to block the oil hole.
i think i am going to stand by my comment that i made earlier about your friends......

I was probably explaining what he told me the wrong way.
P.S. Anyone heard of a 2g GST doing more than 500whp?
Remember that asshole dsmturbos? Well he went to slowboy and he's finally hitting some numbers I can respect w/ all the shit he's got thrown into that thing. 400+hp on 93, and 500+ on race gas.
ok...i got the part number for those interested....
Felpro TCS45941. retails for 31.90, most places have it for 24.50. Shephards in roanoke has two instock. crank seal, oil pump seal, oil pump gasket, pickup tube gasket, and balance shaft seal, if i recall.

k, anyone want a shitty piece of crap 2g 95 gst? I'm bout ready to say fuck it and just ditch this hunk of junk. I can't get the NEW fuckn water pump to stop leakin. I also broke the only gasket I had for that forsaken pos. To top it off, it feels like theres left over gasket on it (not from my install) that I missed and that might be my problem, anyone else think this is possible? The pump is leakin from all over in lil droplets, even tho I torqued the shit out of it to the point I was scared I'd break or strip somethin. + Does anyone know for sure how that lil black ring goes in the water pump? It's a weird washer/ring if ya ask me.
