I agree with this statement........And I can also find a nissan to blow the doors off any Ford ever made including the Hotrod mustang cobras and the "Boss" stangs including the SHO although I like the SHO due to its japanesse heritage.......

Toyotas are just too far ahead of the game in all out racing....There are Nissans and toyotas V-8 or not that top times put down by ford ever........Technology is a biatch...thats all I have to say.....Thanx for the credit Bro......

Hmmmm.....that's funny 'cuz whenever the Japs want to make a sports car they're either RWD or AWD, not FWD. Also whenever they want power it's a V8. Now there's always exceptions to the rule (Skyline, Supras, etc.) and they are NOT N/A. So technology is great but the V8 is an American invention not Japanese. As a matter of fact Ford manufactured the first production V8.

By the way the Mazda6 topline engine is the Ford Duratec V6.

I'm not dissin Nissan! I drive one. It is a great car. I would drive any new Nissan they make. But Nissan's have much more power in their basic cars than Toyota. And I only stated my opinion on Toyota's compared to Ford's. But I will drive a Nissan any day.
Compare:

Altima 3.5 SE vs. Camry V6= Altima eating Camry for lunch
Sentra vs Corolla= Sentra stomping Corolla's
Maxima vs. Avalon= Tons faster than Avalon
Xterra vs. Highlander or Rav4=Unique don't know if faster
Pathfinder vs. 4Runner=Tie but I will give new 4Runner's props w/ new V8
Frontier vs. Tacoma=Please!
and soon to come Titan vs. Tundra=345hp vs. 245hp need I say more
350Z vs. Nothing to compete with made currently.

Hello
LCR III:
Imports come in all configurations. (RWD,AWD,FWD)

Fat Nick:
My statement was in regards to All Markets (Mainly Japan)
and You are only comparing current line ups also.
I too like Nissans. I don't drive one but their 80's and 90's line up were kind of hot.
To contradict your list though:
80's Corolla GTS= 115 hp fun car RWD
90 Corolla GTS = US market 130hp FWD
93 Corolla GTZ = Everywhere but here 170 hp FWD
97 Corolla (GTV/GTi) 170 hp (FWD/AWD)
MR2 = 200 hp Mid engine RWD
Sorrer = 250+ hp RWD family car
Supra = 250+ hp RWD
80's Starlet = 120 hp RWD
Celica All Tracks = 200 hp AWD
80's / 90's truck's / 4 Runners had the 20 RTE Turbo in them from the factory.
So many more I can not even think of.

Another thing that Toyota provides is Super Charging on 90% of the cars from the factory.
All you got to do is check the box and there it is.
Factory model Camry's/Avalons/Solaras/Seanina 250+ hp
Land crusiers/Tundras/New 4Runners 300hp
Tacomas w/ 200+
Then you still have the Corolla/Matrix/Celica all getting the Charger.
All of these off the show room floor.
SO your Nissan Domanation is not realy as big as you think it is.
Toyotas and Nissans have been pretty close since the begining.

Back to the Comparing of Ford's:
I have to give it to the over seas market from them in the past.
The Austrailian V8 car Series cars. Very nice they just don't sell them here.
Cosworth Escort Very nice also
Foci RS Nice also ( I just dont like the look myself)
Other than those and the V6 SHO I have no love for them.
Most Fords handle like ass, there to Porky and get some of the worst gas mileage.
The wonderfull thing about small displacement and turbo's/chargers is the fact that the mileage is still there.
If a cmpany can make a 4 or 6 w/ the same power as a V8 but get there on half the fuel then that's the winner. IMO!!!

Well, gotta go my wrist are killing me.
C-YA!!

Default just to clarify...

okay here's the skinny on the probe mx6 problems u guys seem to be confused about...the usdm mx6 and probe both run the same engine, kl-03...it's a 2.5L DOHC V6 w/ 24valves...the reason auto zone asks if u have a big or small cam is to determine if it's an OBDI or II...'96+ are OBDII thus a small cam...the jdm mx6 has the motor that should havebeen put into the probe mx6 bastard children..the kl-ze this motor made 200hp in stock form...main difference, flat top pistons, 10.0:1 c/r, and much better flowing intake manifold and heads...these engines were also available in the jdm version of the millenia (eunos 800 i believe)...the mx6 wasn't all that popular in japan, so the 5spd tranny w/ lsd is hard to find...anyway...my point is...the ford probe is a true mutt...its ignition system is developed by mitsubishi...everything but the body by mazda...go figure...gotta love the stock brakes tho...60-0 in 115ft...beats a '02 vette by 3 ft!
