If you have a scoop on your hood (as do WRXs and Mustangs) a bump on the roof actually DOES help out in the area of aerodynamics. It helps keep the countour of the wind from changing shape as it flows from the hood to the roof....but this effect only comes into play at high speeds (100+ mph)

But who really needs one anyways? I think they're retarded.
