i definitely respect a lot of v8's. i think some honda guys think it's funny that most v8's that are huge displacment are not particularly powerful or well tuned. for example, the new cobra, WITH the supercharger, puts out about 85hp/liter. an old ass b16, N/A puts out 100hp/liter.
my car makes about 200whp/liter. now to make that cobra be as efficient with displacement as my honda then you'd need over 1000bhp.

I never said I hate V8s....I have gotten frustrated in the past with the lack of any domestic companies using their V8s to the potential they have. I think what Honda guys "hate" (more like make fun of) was the fact that their much much smaller motors were keeping up with these huge V8s. Times have changed now and domestic car companies have stepped up to the plate and started producing motors that perform as well as their size indicates they should.

 

like flite said the only time i make fun of V8's is when a motor less than half the size kicks its ass.

just like when POS HYBRID raced BRUTL. 1.8 liter beat some big v8 muscle car. both all motor! makes the big v8 look like a pussy.

that arguement means shit when your dont have enough liters to keep up with the cobra even with your better ratio.

 

maybe with a turbo on their 4cyl they are keeping up with the bigger engines. But that kinda takes away your displacement argument does it. Not to mention you arent figuring in that the domestic cars are much heavier.

 

dude, there are quite a few 1.6/1.8/2.0 liter all motor honda's that will beat all motor 4.0+ liter fords

That's the kind of crap that makes me want a Honda... but I'll stick to my Mitsubishi and Mazda for now... well, if that concept ever comes out around here (which I would never believe it to), then I would definitely say that Honda has won my buy (although I know I won't be able to afford that car, lol).
