Yes, it is simply a compressor wheel and compressor housing change. They want you to send them your turbine housing as well for clearance issues, perhaps with balancing or something (I'm not entirely sure).

Also, it should be noted that the soon to be released HTA wheels for other size compressors are not just for the larger turbos. Robert told me that he plans to make them down to even 16g sized turbos. The GT35R variant made very large gains for a very large rpm band with less lag than a standard GT35R, if this same technology makes its way into other turbos, then I really see the market changing a good bit all around.

yeah,i'm sure it'll be useless except for on slicks at the track.sure looks good sitting there on the manifold........on the block with a huge hole in the back of it.

However, remember, you get to rev to the moon! Makes me wish I would have kept the 2.0, 9k rpm's sounds nice. But, I enjoy my midrange and streetability, so yeah
i'll just have to get used to it.my old turbo made full boost(12lbs)by around 2,000RPMs.but,it stopped making power at about 6800RPMs at 10psi
most of the turbo Hondas i've owned or built have used smaller, more streetable turbos,so this will definitely be different.
this engine i can rev up to 10k if needed, and i'll probably limit it to 20ish psi on the stock sleeves.the next block(sleeved,84ish mm bore, maybe bigger-not sure yet)that i'm starting on after i get the car running again on the current build won't be able to rev as high, but will hopefully give me more out of boost power and spool a little sooner.

A 35r will def not taper off at 6800 as you know, it will pull to your 10k redline I'm sure depending on the turbine housing/ cams/ and intake manifold your running.

I'm sure the increased lag will help out a little bit but once it fully spools is the problem.

I never understood why honda guys always went ginormous on the turbo and run 7 psi. Why not just mount up a small 14b/ 16g if possible, or t25/t28 gt28 until they are able to support a larger turbo, and higher boost pressures. My 14b pulled hard for what it was, netted me some 7.90's and 8.0's on pump gas. Now 3rd gear wasn't as fun but the car was very torquey.

if this is true about the HTA in a 37r and i WILL be sending mine in as soon as possable. the top end on the car is INSANE, but i really do miss some of the low end and mid range that i had with the 20g. spool up on the 37r is not bad at all really, but it wouldnt hurt to have a bigger power band. smaller cams and the HTA may be something to think aboutfor me.

Would anybody happen to have the complete rear brake setup from a 2g for not too expensive of a price, i am looking for a friend who's tring to get rid of his rs drum brakes? It needs to be off a non awd 2g. Also any 420a performance parts?

btw, from the reading I've done the HTA wheel is smaller, not larger.

The Hot Tight Ass, as its been dubbed on evom, is a very good platform, quite pricey though IMO. It does net awesome midrange gains though!

your old setup sounds similar to mine.ran 8.0s,and was tons of fun down low,but by third gear the turbo was out of breath.i'll be using the Victor X intake manifold,Full Race exhaust manifold and stock GSR cams with the new turbo, which has the .82 A/R turbine housing.
i'm keeping the boost to around 20 pounds on the 35R with the stock sleeves, but with the sleeved block,i think the turbo will then be the limiting factor as all the engine components will be capable of pretty much whatever i want to do.

Keep reading then. The inducer is actually larger due to a smaller hub diameter. I may try to get some pics of this compressor next to my FP3065 which uses the standard 35R comp wheel.
