Everything that I see wrong with it (raw carbon, unpainted bumper/skirts, slapped on flares) can be justified with "because racecar" so I say dope because of its functionality. I still think it'd be better with everything painted and improved fit and finish though.

EDIT: for me the jury's still out on widebody E36s. I can't decide whether I like the flare style or the flush style better. Either way they're pointless on 90% of cars that have them.

I think you focused on the wrong part of that comment. I don't deny that they're functional, but 90% of cars that have them really don't need them.
