Look at all the old planes that used rotary motors.
Let us know when a car company can get it right, thanks.

Probably because it's true?

If LS1s had penises, even Chuck Norris would suck them.

It's more maintenance than your average piston car, but if you only drive it as much you say you will, and you don't do anything stupid when you do drive it, you should be ok. The only problem would be the previous driver of the car, because if they abused it, more than likely something will go out on you. If you can find a car with moderate miles maintained by someone who knew how to take care of the FD, you shouldn't have any problems, or they'll let you know of potential problems.

By the way would you consider doing any kind of swap? If so, there was a thread in the 7club about a guy with an FD getting a 20B, but he removed all of the turbo components and put in NA rotors (I can't remember if it was from an all motor FC or not), custom fabbed a header and exhaust and all that, and put out like 300 rwhp untuned. He shed the weight of the turbo components, but added the reliability of a NA motor, and loved the power and response. Something to think about.

Wow, he could have just swapped in a bone stone stock LS1 and done that, and still weighed the same, and added another gear from the t56, and got better gas mileage, and got much MUCH more torque. Can someone explain to me why a rotary is so good again?

Thats what I thought kthxbye

Chuck norris once roundhouse kicked an LS1. The LS1 shook it off and piston slapped the shit out of Chuck. Chuck bowed and walked away, for he knew that he was no match for the power of the almighty LS1.

I loved the shit out of my turbo II. It had 209,XXX miles before I replaced the engine which goes to show you that it really does depend on the previous owner and how good he took care of the car. Any reviews I have read on the FD go something like this:
Pros-
An Excellent Drive
Possibly The Best Handling Car Of The Mid 90's
Gorgeous Body Lines
Near Perfect Weight Distribution

Cons-
Catastrophic Engine Failure

I don't know if you read my post or not, but I never said anything about the "rotary being so good" or anything. Thanks for your input though...
