I love the Elise, I think it's an awesome purpose built car. That being said, I would not want to get in and out of one every day. I also don't think they're worth the price tag. I just couldn't pay that kinda money for a car like that...even a used one. I still really want a turbo miata. There's a Silviata (Miata with an SR) in cali that I'd love to have, but I'm not going to cali to get it. I fell in love with Miatas when I saw the article in SS or SCC years ago with the black one with flares and deep lip 16s on it... It just looked phuckin beast. I would say go with the Miata, but only if you let me drive it

Yeah man, the black one with the carbon flares from the mazdaspeed group?
That car was hot. Something about them in black makes them look sinister with the flares and deep dishies. I honestly expected it to be a Monster Miata when I first saw it but if I recall it was plenty fast with the 2.0 it had....

Terry...Evo 9....that is all.

Yeah, it does fit almost perfect.

I'm about 6'4" and I had no trouble actually sitting in the car. No problems with height clearance or anything. But getting in and out took some acrobatics...I actually had to use my hands to literally pull my leg over the sill and inside.

I'd still do it every day, if I could afford one.

Actually, after reading about your finances, I'd definitely go with the Miata. Once you get the fender flares and the deep dishes on there the car will look absolutely mean. Sure, turbo lag is a bitch but you can always swap in a slightly smaller turbo and retune.

So I test drove the car for 30 minutes without the salesman in the car. Basically all I have to say about it is

HAHAH honestly I was all giddy after driving it.
I dont mind getting in and out of it. I have driven some pretty interesting cars in my time from old british roadsters to 700whp supras and some ferraris and alota other shit. But this by far was the most gratifying and fun car I have ever driven in my entire life. Its a hair slower then a stock evo I would say but it feels alot faster then it. The grip, turn in and response is amazing, and I feel like im driving a race car.

BrianT metup with me and I took him for a brief spin and he said he was dissapointed in the power, I honestly thougt it would feel slower and was content with it. We shall see what happens but the lotus is deffinetly on top of the list..simply amazing
