If that's the problem in the Explorer/Expedition, etc, then yes, they have.
I believe he is taking about the recall on the cruise/brake switch..
And yes, vehicles from the factory have been fixed and have had the new switch for over a year now.. However, there are almost 30 million vehicles in the US on the road that were effected by that recall..
And Ford isnt going anywhere.. Sorry..
Little thing back in the '70's called the Gas Crisis.. Remember that..? remember when the government pulled the big 3 out of debt..? The economy cannot handle a company the size of Ford Motor Company.. It cant handle the unemployment..
Pretty soon, the world will be back to just the Big 3, once again.. Honda, Toyota, ETC will all be owned by either Ford, GM or Chrystler in the next 5-10 years..

I don't forsee it anytime soon, but I wouldn't say never. I would have never thought other companies would be owned by the American manufacturers, but that happened.
Actually, Nissan might buy GM in the next few years.
That turned out to be a rumor (for now) but I'd love to see it happen. It would do nothing but help and then the loss of Ford wouldn't hurt the economy so badly.
We're headed down in one-way street to disaster as it is. Until the UAW is done for the US car companies will keep churning out crap. Any way you look at it the economy has got to take a hit before things can start to improve.
but hold up, isn't ford closing the va plant to put it out of the U.S.? sorry but they're already leaving. and in the next ten years ford will have moved out and we won't need them.
no one has mentioned the crown vics exploding upon rear end collision.
